Volunteer Program

The vision and mission of the CSSP’s Volunteer Program is to provide volunteer opportunities to build the capacity of both the CSSP and the Spanish-speaking community.

What do we do?

  • Recruit, screen, coordinate volunteers for the different CSSP’s programs
  • Assist CSSP’s programs to meet their goals
  • To provide an opportunity for volunteers to engage and connect with the community
  • Help community members meet the volunteer hours required
  • Assist individuals gain Canadian work experience and/or providing a space for personal/ professional development
  • Assist individuals to find a suitable placement when out capacity to absorb volunteers is reached

 

Requirements

  • Reception Assistant
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Interpreter/translator
  • Dance Instructor
  • Be responsible and willing to help
  • Support in the development of a filling system
  • Agreed and follow the non-discriminatory, feminist anti-oppression framework
  • Library organization and maintenance
